Bob Fioretti serves on numerous boards and committees, including: -State of Illinois 91st General Assembly Legislation -Illinois Supreme Court Character and Fitness Committee -Illinois State Bar Assembly -The Chicago Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Committee -Italian-American Political Action Coalition (Endorsement Committee Chairman) -Illinois Secretary of State Business Advisory Committee -Northern Illinois University Alumni Association Board of Directors (President, 2000-2005) -Organic Theater Board of Directors -Historic Pullman Foundation Board of Directors -Clerk of The Circuit Court-Lawyers Advisory Board
Past community leadership positions include:
-Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, Vice President for Development -Historic Pullman Foundation, President During his five years as President, Bob developed and enhanced many educational and tourism programs. He expanded fundraising campaigns, and established long term goals. Bob developed the Clock Tower campaign that led to the formation of a task force to formulate a plan for the restoration and reuse of the Pullman Clock Tower and Factory Complex. This received national attention by the designation of then First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton as an official project of the White House Millennium Council's "Save America's Treasures" initiative.
Bob practices in the following areas of law: -Civil Rights -Litigation -Mediation -Environmental Law -Discrimination -Zoning Law -Intellectual Property
Admitted: 1978, Illinois, U.S. District Court, Northern District of Illinois and U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit; 1985, New York and the United States Supreme Court.
Bob is frequently called upon to lecture on various topics in the legal community.

Alderman Bob served as chair of the Undergraduate Student Associates Law School: Northern Illinois University School of Law, J.D., 1978 Alderman Bob Fioretti has been an active supporter of Northern Illinois University, and has been a strong advocate in promoting and the accessibility of higher education to many Chicago-area students through scholarships and outreach.
While president of the Alumni Council, Bob worked successfully toward three goals:
-The establishment of an NIU alumni office in downtown Chicago -The creation of a quarterly alumni magazine -An active participation in the creation of the Barsema Alumni and Visitor's Center on campus
His NIU credentials include:
-School of Law Alumni Council, 1992 - present -President, National Alumni Council, 2000-2004 -President, School of Law Alumni Council, 1996-1998 -School of Law Board of Visitors, 1996 - present -School of Law Outstanding Alumni Award, 1994 -School of Law Distinguished Service Award, 1999 -Law Alumnus of the Year, 1999 -Black Alumni Council Recognition Award for continued outstanding commitment to the African American Community in the pursuit of higher education, 2006
Bob was born and raised in Chicago and has lived in the second ward for over 10 years. He promises to bring the same commitment and work ethic to the needs of the second ward as he has to his other professional endeavors.
